Every day should be like today...

Today and everyday we should give thanks for:

Having food on the table

Having a roof over your head

Being healthy for the most part

Whatever family you have left, even if you don't get along with them

Tthe mere fact that someone is always worst off than you are, and it makes your problems seem quite small

Good friends that help us when we are in need and share our most joyous moments

Friends that give it to you straight up

All your troubles and challenges because they make you a better person if you choose to master them.

All people, situations and living beings that have been teachers for you in this lifetime and have shown you something that has made you evolve as a human being

The enemies you've reconciled with

Tthe enemies you haven't reconciled with, because this means you still have an opportunity to practice forgiveness (very difficult one...by the way)

All the people that love you unconditionally

Having annoying brothers and sisters... at least you have them!

Your mother and father... because for better or worse, they were your portal into this material world, and hopefully they taught you something of value

and finally for having somewhere to put these thoughts out into the world.... there are a lot of people who are robbed of their freedom of expression and don't even have an outlet to put them forth.

Meet Survivors of the Largest Dog Fighting Raid in US History

Think canines who’ve been exposed to dog fighting don’t make good companions? Think again! After months of behavior evaluations, many of the dogs rescued during July's 8-state raid are fighting for a better life and winning

This past July, the ASPCA assisted in collecting forensic evidence and conducting behavior evaluations of dogs rescued during a federal and multi-state investigation that led to one of the toughest crackdowns on dog fighting in U.S. history. Raids were conducted on various dog fighting operations in eight states and resulted in the rescue of more than 500 dogs.

Our beloved Yoani Gets Beaten Up

This is BULLSHIT! This is what you get in Cuba when you have "cojones".

It is clear the Cuban government is sooo afraid and intimidated by Yoani.... she is a heroine.

Will the US do something about it? If we really invade countries in the name of democracy (right...) why aren't we in Cuba right now and give the soldiers a REAL cause to go to war for... if they must.
